Light industry and small business customers are a key factor for the financial viability of village mini-grids in sub-Saharan Africa. Wihout them, many mini-grids are unlikely to reach the critical mass of electricity sales needed to sustain their business. This report provides an in-depth mapping and analysis of the five most important agricultural and fishing value chains in 15 African countries and an overview of other relevant value chains.
