Peter Weston – Managing Director

Peter is a power and renewable energy expert with 25 years of experience encompassing investment, lending, strategic advisory, and project implementation. Since 2016, he has overseen programmes that that enhance energy access for poverty alleviation and improved livelihoods in sub-Saharan Africa at Energy 4 Impact. Following the 2021 merger with Mercy Corps, Peter assumed leadership at Energy 4 Impact. He also serves as a non-executive director at social investor Thrive Renewables and as a board member of the NGO Renewable World. Previously, he held global finance and investment leadership roles at Siemens Wind and MAN, and led GE Capital’s European energy lending team. Peter has a degree in Economics and Politics from Warwick University.

Linda Azodi – Programme Lead

As Programme Lead, Linda oversees and administers grants, contracts, awards and new business opportunities, ensuring transparency, accountability, and the successful execution of Energy 4 Impact’s programmes. With over a decade of international development experience, she has held key support roles in the Middle East, Asia, Latin America, and Africa. Before joining Mercy Corps, Linda supported access to justice and rule of law initiatives in Afghanistan, Myanmar, and the Philippines. Her work also took her to Jordan, Iraq, and Turkey in response to the Syrian refugee crisis, and to Egypt for civic participation and youth development. Linda holds a degree in Human Rights and is pursuing further studies in climate change and development.

Mathieu Dalle – Director, West Africa

Mathieu Dalle is an agronomist. He holds an MBA in social entrepreneurship and a postgraduate in Water and Waste Treatment and Management. He has been working in the renewable energy and social economy sector sectors for 10 years helping businesses, institutions and NGOs in Mali, Senegal, Morocco, and Ghana make a bigger impact through cleaner energy sources and improved efficiency. Before joining Energy 4 Impact, he was the Director of a Spain-based Child and Youth Rights NGO and Director of a French farmers’ organisation.

Mercy Rose – Energy Access Programme Lead

As the Energy Access Programme Lead, Mercy spearheads initiatives that translate field-based evidence and research into actionable energy access programs in Africa. With 9 years of experience in the energy and environmental sector, her expertise spans from fostering innovation and research collaborations with energy companies to deliver sustainable solutions to underserved populations in both rural and urban settings, to enhancing livelihoods through business training and financial inclusion for end-users, advancing energy access market development, and actively engaging in awareness campaigns and policy advocacy to bridge access gaps.

Chris Browne – Head of MEL & Data Management

An Electrical & Electronic Engineer from Imperial College London, Chris brings over a decade of professional experience spanning the entire data spectrum – from data collection and analytics to data engineering, data science, and programmatic M&E. Chris joined Energy 4 Impact in 2018, and he now leads all aspects of monitoring, impact evaluation, and data management. Permanently stationed in Nairobi, Chris and his team cultivate a culture of evidence-based decision-making and transparent impact assessment, ensuring our effectiveness and accountability to the communities we serve.

Peter Odhiambo Ochola – Finance Manager

Peter is finance professional with more than 12 years of experience in development organisations across Africa. His expertise covers all aspects of programme budget development, grants and contracts compliance management, financial reporting, and programme financial risk management. Before joining Energy 4 Impact, he held a key position in financial management at a market assistance programme within the main consortium organisation. Currently, Peter is leading the finance team to achieve Mercy Corps Energy Access platform’s strategic financial objectives. He holds an MBA in Strategic Management and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance. Peter is a Certified Public Accountant and CIPS diploma qualified.

Alessandra Moscadelli – Head of Communications

Alessandra is a communications professional with over 15 years’ experience in media relations, social media marketing, stakeholder engagement and brand management. She is responsible for developing communications strategies and for leading international teams to deliver multi-lingual advocacy, awareness and behavioural change communications. Prior to joining Energy 4 Impact she worked as a communications specialist for a range of human rights, development and grassroots organisations. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Modern Languages and Literature and speaks English, Italian, Spanish and French.
