How to attract investors to energy access crowdfunding
Energy 4 Impact’s research programme Crowd Power examines the role of alternative finance in growing the energy access sector with a particular focus on crowdfunding. As the market for energy access-related crowdfunding develops, crowdfunding platforms are looking to diversify their outreach strategies to attract new investors. This report analyses the effectiveness of various outreach interventions, including first-time investor guarantees as well as voucher or discount codes for new investors. The report also looks at the potential of promoting these interventions through channels, such as social media, blogs and influencers, in order to attract specific investor groups.
